Training Tailored to Needs
Advice on the continuation of cooperation agreements with KIA partner company DB InfraGO
On January 30, 2024, discussions took place at our university regarding the further expansion of our successful partnership with our KIA partner company, DB InfraGO. DB InfraGO is a public-benefit corporation that was recently formed from the infrastructure companies DB Netz AG and DB Station&Service AG. The discussions focused on providing needs-based training for the next generation of skilled professionals in the field of railway-specific Control and safety technology.
Our partnership with DB Netz AG has a history spanning more than 20 years. In response to growing demand, more than 20 students now complete the specialized classes / courses offered by the LST, which span four academic semesters. Students from other universities are also regularly sent to our educational institution to acquire this knowledge. This was made possible by the consistent transition to a blended learning model, in which webinars alternate with in-person sessions in the laboratories.
The guests were impressed by the wide range of laboratory facilities available at the Zittau campus. Among other things, they toured the Zittau Süd training station, the basic Control and safety technology laboratory, and the electronic signal box laboratory currently under construction in Building Z I.
