Banks, energy and the church

A guest in St. Petersburg: Prof. Dr. Clemens Renker discussed challenges in the financial world and their solutions.

The cooperation between the HSCG and the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics UNECON, which was agreed from 2017 to 2020, got off to a good start in the new year.

In a colloquium with the Director of the Russian-German Center Prof. Dr. Tatjana Nikitina and doctoral students from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the Russian market leader Sberbank and financial institutions, guest professor Prof. Dr. Clemens Renker discussed the challenges in the financial world and called for solutions. As a result, the UNECON Rectorate is very interested in an annual banking symposium for academics, lecturers and practitioners.

The opportunities for generating, communicating and transferring knowledge in the field of energy and supply management appear promising. Prof. Dr. Tino Schütte (HSZG) has found a partner in Dr. Julia Bichun from UNECON, with whom a broad field is opening up via lecturer and student exchanges, joint conferences and joint publications. Dr. J. Bichun is the director of the newly created Master's program "Energy Management and Sustainable Economy". This program at UNECON is supported by a decree of the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak. Cooperation with the HSZG up to the cooperative Master's level is possible.

Finally, the Vice Dean and Director of the Marketing Faculty Prof. Dr. Oksana U. Yuldasheva of UNECON appoints Prof. Dr. Clemens Renker as a member of the editorial board of the international publication platform "DIGITAL MARKETING-JOURNAL".

Universities, the state and the church honored outstanding academic achievements, especially those of the Dean of Economics and Ethics at UNECON.

The trip was sponsored by the DAAD with funds from the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
