Four students at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences recently successfully completed their two-and-a-half-year apprenticeship with the vocational certification “Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems,” which they earned as part of the dual education program —Cooperative Study with Integrated Training (KIA)—.
During the graduation ceremony, Christoph Duscha, Head of Division of Human Resources and Legal Affairs, presented the four newly certified skilled workers with their IHK skilled worker certificates. Julia Rocho, Jonas Dabow, and Mathy Neumann will continue their studies in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. One trainee will not continue his studies and will instead begin working at a company. It is particularly gratifying that his search for a job in the region was very successful.
Christoph Duscha congratulated the graduates and at the same time thanked the instructor, Andreas Israel, for the high-quality training and his extraordinary dedication. He emphasized that the university, through its educational programs in the professions of “Office Management Specialist” and “Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems,” is fulfilling its social responsibility by giving young people in the region a chance to start their careers.
