Off to the "late shift"

On October 13, companies will be offering insights into their production halls and offices on Open Company Day.

The second Open Company Day will take place in Zittau next Friday. For this "late shift  from 16:00   ten regional companies will once again open their doors and give visitors an exciting insight into the factory halls and offices. In addition to the day-to-day work processes and working environments of the companies, the day will also showcase training and career opportunities in a wide range of business areas. This is because the continuing need for skilled workers in the region, which is also clearly noticeable in the STEM professions, as well as the often insufficient knowledge of local businesses, including their diverse career prospects, are the reasons for the "late shift".

This afternoon/evening therefore offers younger visitors in particular another ideal opportunity for career orientation. Personal discussions can also be held on site with experienced employees, questions of all kinds can be asked and initial contacts can be made regarding internships, practical semesters or vacant training and workplaces.

The open company day - "Spätschicht" - is organized jointly with the City of Zittau's business development department and the Zittau branch of the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce. All interested parties are cordially invited to visit Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 from 16:00 to 20:00 and explore the companies according to their own interests. The event is free of charge.
