On Friday, May 17th, the HSZG will also be reading ZITTAU LIEST FÜRS HERZ
On Friday, May 17, the university will open its high-voltage hall in House V (Zittau campus) for the Great Zittau Reading Night from 7 p.m. Under the motto: "Zittau reads for the heart", members of the HSZG will read their favorite books to students and guests from outside the university every half hour.
The readers inspire with exciting books from other authors as well as their own. Professor Alexander Kratzsch (IPM) will open the evening at 7 p.m. with a dark scientific thriller about an attack on the international electricity system and its devastating consequences.
Continuing in the genre, Professor Jörg Kroschel follows an hour later with his own work: "Welcome to hell". This takes the audience to the G20 protests in Hamburg, where two students get caught up in the escalating fights.
Next up is Professor Matthias Theodor Vogt from the Faculty of Management and Cultural Studies. Chancellor Karin Hollstein will read about five stranded Robinsons and their humorous South Sea adventures under coconut palms.
Ms. Heike Herzig from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science will send the audience off into the night with a life story of start-up founder Frank Thelen. A story about the technologies of the future, hard defeats and the difficulty of motivating oneself again and again after them.
The waiting time until the next reading can be used for a leisurely change to one of the other 10 venues of the reading night or the whole evening can be spent in the high-voltage hall.
