Degree in International Master of Mechatronics

Successful collaboration between ULT AG, the Technical University of Liberec, and Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.

At the end of August, Ms. Eliška Veisová, a student in the International Master’s Program in Mechatronics at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, successfully completed her studies.

Ms. Veisová completed her Master's thesis, titled “Case Study of Industry 4.0 Capability for Fume Exhaust Units,” at ULT AG in Löbau. The focus of the project was the analysis of potential applications of methods and processes from the field of Industry 4.0 for use in ULT AG’s product portfolio. On behalf of the university, the thesis was supervised by Prof. A. Kratzsch (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) and Mr. Vogel (Institute for Process Engineering, Process Automation, and Measurement Technology).

As part of her Master's thesis, Ms. Veisová developed the prototype of the µLite measurement box. The measurement box enables network-based acquisition and evaluation of the measured variables provided by ULT AG’s air purification systems. The measurement box is universally applicable and can therefore be used with various extraction and filtration systems.

The defense of the Master's thesis took place at ULT AG in Löbau in the presence of representatives from the Technical University of Liberec and the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz. The outstanding result of the Master's thesis underscores the good and important collaboration between the aforementioned partners. Ms. Veisová was also hired as a permanent employee at ULT AG as of September 1, 2016, in part due to her outstanding thesis.
