Study trip to Kavala, Greece with a varied program and opportunity for international exchange.
In the week from May 14 to 19, Dr. Sebastian Zips and students from the Faculty of Business, Economics and Industrial Engineering from the Housing and Real Estate Management the invitation of Prof. Dr. Dimitrios Maditinos of the Hellenic International University in Kavala for the 4th International Teaching Week.
An exciting and varied teaching program with fellow professors from various European countries from the fields of marketing, production logistics, human resources and finance offered a wide range of courses, which were very well used by the Erasmus students on site and also by our students. Dr. Sebastian Zips gave lectures on the topic of "platform economy", in which this form of business concept was presented and its success factors explained.
It was also interesting to make contacts, particularly with international colleagues from other countries, and to discuss teaching methods and current topics in the respective subject areas. The students also accepted an afternoon invitation from a local architect to have a coffee in his home, where he offered them a tour of his house and gave them an insight into his current projects.
Of course, the hospitable Greek hosts also repeatedly offered excursions to explore the "historical pavement" around Kavala, such as ancient Philippi and Peramos, the island of Thassos, as well as the mountains and beaches around Kavala itself, offering wonderful impressions.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Erasmus coordinator Prof. Dr. Hahn, the Erasmus+ officer Ms. Stephanie Ludwig and our dean's advisor Dipl. Oek. Norbert Kalz, who were able to arrange for the students to travel with us at short notice.
