On November 26 and 27, 2018, the 28th Zittau Energy Seminar will be held by the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. This year’s venue is the DJH Görlitz “Altstadt” Youth Hostel, located at Peterstraße 15 in 02826 Görlitz. The Energy Seminar is being organized in collaboration with Stadtwerke Görlitz AG and will focus on the theme:
“Decentralized Energy Supply for Buildings.”
Participants can look forward to interesting presentations by speakers from commercial enterprises, engineering firms, centers of excellence, and research institutions. The perspectives of German stakeholders will be complemented by selected presentations from Central and Eastern Europe.

In addition to the lecture program, there will once again be an excursion at the end of the first day of the seminar, and the Stadtwerke Evening will provide an opportunity for individual technical discussions. All participants are cordially invited to attend.

Since 1990, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has hosted the Energy Seminar on the situation in energy economics in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
The goal of this international exchange of experiences between industry and academia is to provide recommendations for addressing the challenges of energy supply. In addition to market and technology analyses, this includes, in particular, exemplary current case studies.
The Energy Seminar is an independent knowledge platform for energy suppliers, industrial companies, commercial, retail, and service enterprises, as well as decision-makers from municipalities, government agencies, and public institutions.
Free from commercial interests, the seminar aims to contribute, through a practical focus, to advancing the transformation of energy supply within the balancing act of economic efficiency, environmental sustainability, and security of supply.
