1st International Dinner

Around ninety students and employees of the HSZG embarked on a culinary journey around the world.

Last Wednesday, 13 April 2016, around 90 international and domestic students and HSZG staff embarked on a culinary and cultural journey around the world at the International Dinner.

In the DeziBar, our international students demonstrated their culinary skills and delighted guests with elaborately prepared dishes from their home countries. The menu included an Egyptian spinach dish (molokhia), lapeti from India, Malaysian chocolate cookies, as well as meloui, chebakia, crêpes and couscous from Morocco. Other culinary delicacies from countries such as China, Syria, Tunisia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Switzerland, Sudan and Iran filled the buffet. German cuisine was also represented with Saxon curd cheese dumplings, a Lower Saxon potato salad and an imaginatively designed vegan Mett hedgehog. The atmosphere was exuberant, cheerful and happy. A special highlight at the end of the evening was the musical contribution of some students who spontaneously got together with their instruments and played together.

A big thank you goes to the hard-working cooks. Special thanks also go to the DeziBar team, who made their premises available, provided the guests with drinks and made the International Dinner possible.
