HSZG students and Daniel Winkler, University Didactics Officer, talk about the importance of committee work and university teaching in the podcast "Trafohaus//Lehre".
Students at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the university's didactics officer, Daniel Winkler, can currently be heard in two episodes of the podcast Trafohaus//Lehre. The podcast is produced by Hochschuldidaktik Sachsen (HDS) and is dedicated to questions of good teaching, university transformation and participation.
In the episode "How to work on committees - How democracy can be lived at universities" (episode 93), the two HSZG students Annika Thomas and Miriam Meyer-Scheffel talk to host Prof. Dr. Claudia Bade, Academic Director of the HDS, about their experiences in student committee work.
The focus will be on questions such as: Why is student involvement so important for the university? How does co-determination actually work? And how can democratic participation be actively shaped in everyday university life? The episode provides authentic insights into the motivation, challenges and impact of student participation at the HSZG.
In the episode "A bicycle tour through the everyday life of higher education didactics at Saxon universities" (episode 98), Daniel Winkler, lecturer in higher education didactics at the HSZG, is a guest together with Michael Sommer, lecturer in higher education didactics at TU Dresden.
The interview partners provide an insight into their day-to-day work in higher education didactics at different types of universities and discuss key tasks such as teaching advice, continuing education formats and supporting teaching staff. The importance of cross-university exchange in the Saxony University Didactics Network and the role of communication, relationship building and self-efficacy for good university teaching become clear.
The podcast "Trafohaus//Lehre" by Hochschuldidaktik Sachsen (HDS) regularly highlights topics relating to contemporary university teaching, participation, innovation and transformation. In discussions with lecturers, students and university staff from all over Saxony, it makes different perspectives visible and promotes cross-university dialog.
With its services, the HDS supports teachers in Saxony in the professionalization of their teaching activities and serves to shape and improve the teaching and learning culture at Saxony's universities.
Good teaching thrives on exchange, reflection and the willingness to break new ground. The programs of Hochschuldidaktik Sachsen offer teachers the opportunity to deal specifically with current issues in university teaching, to further develop their own teaching concepts and to network across universities.
Whether it's an introduction, in-depth study or peer-to-peer exchange, the higher education didactics training courses address topics that also play a role in the "Trafohaus//Lehre" podcast - from participation and teaching innovation to professionalization in teaching.
