Agile, reliable and practical

Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences

In the heart of Europe, in the three-country region: Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic, we combine research, talent and industry.

The semiconductor industry is the backbone of the digital future.

We deliver talent, research and solutions.

Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is one of the strongest research universities for applied sciences in Germany and is among the best three percent nationwide in terms of third-party funding. Our strength is the close integration of teaching and practice: with the KIA training model, students work in companies from day one and gain valuable professional experience. More than 95 percent of our students successfully complete their degree in the shortest possible time and are thus ready for the industry.

In the heart of Europe, we offer students and partners short distances, personal support and close cooperation. The HSZG stands for direct communication and efficient cooperation. Projects with industry, politics and science not only lead to research results, but also to solutions that become effective in practice.

Upper Lusatia is in the midst of a regional transformation from a coal-mining region to a region of the future with innovative industries. Thanks to its proximity to Silicon Saxony and the semiconductor clusters in Saxony, the HSZG is part of a dynamic innovation area that has an impact far beyond the region. As a partner in this process, we strengthen the resilience of the region and open up new perspectives for the economy and society.

With this profile, the HSZG is a reliable partner for the semiconductor industry. We combine practical research, innovative solutions and highly qualified specialists with the agility of a university that acts quickly and makes results visible.

The HSZG is one of the strongest research universities for applied sciences in Germany. We develop talents that are immediately effective in industry and deliver research results that are directly transferred into applications. This makes us a reliable partner to the semiconductor industry - regionally and worldwide.
