Purposes of data processing
As part of a student thesis, the HSZG is conducting a usability test of the employee management software to assess its intuitive usability with regard to menu navigation. The findings and user feedback will be incorporated into improvements to the app’s user-friendliness.
Categories of personal data
The responses provided by participants in the usability test to questions regarding their user experience constitute personal data that will be processed by HSZG as part of the preparation of the thesis. The following categories of personal data will be processed for the aforementioned purposes.
- Last name, first name
- Email address
- Date and time of the usability test
- Results of the usability test
- Evaluation of the personal user experience
Legal basis
The processing of personal data collected from usability tests is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR on the basis of voluntary and informed consent.
Recipients
The HSCG only discloses personal data to the following internal recipients for the purposes of this processing activity:
- Members of the research team
The HSCG does not transfer personal data to a third country or an international organization.
The research results, which have been made anonymous and cannot be traced back to an individual, are included in a thesis and are disclosed to the following recipients together with the thesis.

Storage duration
Without prejudice to your right to erasure(Art. 17 GDPR), the data will be stored for the duration of the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected.
Rights of the data subjects
As a person affected by the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights if the legal requirements are met:
- You have the right to information about the processing of your personal data(Art. 15 GDPR).
- You have the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you(Art. 16 GDPR)
- You have the right to erasure of your personal data(Art. 17 GDPR).
- You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data(Art. 18 GDPR)
- You have the right to data portability of your personal data(Art. 20 GDPR)
- You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time(Art. 21 GDPR)
- You have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of your consent until revocation remains unaffected(Art. 13 para. 2 lit. c GDPR).

Provision of personal data
The provision of personal data is not required by law or contract in accordance with Art. 13 (2) lit. e GDPR.
Decision-making and profiling
This processing activity does not involve automated decision-making or profiling in accordance with Art. 22 GDPR.
