Nature and purpose of data processing

The purpose of data processing by UniNow GmbH is to provide the white-label app “MyHSZG” as well as the use of the login feature within the app for employees and students, and the issuance of student ID cards—including library cards and public transportation passes—for students via UniNow GmbH’s ID Card module.

Any functions beyond these are not the responsibility of HSZG. Your consent is required for these functions. For all other processing activities, UniNow acts as the independent data controller.

Recipients

The recipient of the data to be processed is the contract data processor UniNow GmbH and the transport companies in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.


Transmission to third countries is excluded.

Rights of data subjects

As a person affected by the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights if the legal requirements are met.

  • You have the right to information about the processing of your personal data(Art. 15 GDPR).
  • You have the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you(Art. 16 GDPR)
  • You have the right to erasure of your personal data(Art. 17 GDPR).
  • You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data(Art. 18 GDPR)
  • You have the right to data portability of your personal data(Art. 20 GDPR)
  • You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time(Art. 21 GDPR)
  • You have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of your consent until revocation remains unaffected(Art. 13 para. 2 lit. c GDPR).

Provision of personal data

The provision of personal data is not required by law, but it is necessary for the conclusion of a contract in accordance with(Art. 13 (2) lit. e GDPR).
There is no obligation to provide personal data. Failure to provide personal data excludes the use of the "MyHSZG" app in its entirety.

Decision-making and profiling

No automated decision-making or profiling in accordance with Art. 22 GDPR is carried out in the processing activity.
