The cross-border online conference "Living Europe - Gender Equality Policy in Dialogue between Saxony and the Czech Republic" organized by the Women's Council of Saxony brings together interested parties and stakeholders in gender equality work from both countries to discuss current challenges for gender equality. Bernadette Rohlf, research associate at TRAWOS and active in the ESF junior research groups FioKo and GAP, will open the conference with a keynote speech entitled "Between the advancement of women and anti-feminism - science and gender equality in Saxony". In it, she will shed light on how feminist achievements are increasingly coming under pressure and how anti-feminism affects universities, research funding and gender equality policy. After a further expert impulse by Šárka Homfrey, who will address the current situation in the Czech Republic, three workshops will delve into central questions on the implementation of gender equality and how to deal with current social counter-movements. The event offers space to make developments visible, exchange experiences and think about perspectives for a future-oriented gender equality policy.
