How can I integrate students' portfolios into teaching and examinations?
In higher education, a portfolio is understood to be a "folder" of "collected sheets" (lat. portare and folium) containing various materials (results, documentation, reflections, etc.). Students can use a portfolio to document and reflect on their learning processes, learning outcomes and developed products; a portfolio can also be used for examinations. The function of a portfolio must be precisely defined in the module description or course description and related to the intended learning outcomes/competences (ILOs) in order to provide students with orientation for their work.
