The Görlitz Science Slam shows just how exciting science can be! On November 24, 2026, RABRYKA will become a stage for creative ideas, surprising discoveries, and entertaining insights into the world of science.
Scientists will each have ten minutes to inspire the audience with their topics—in a way that’s easy to understand, creative, and, ideally, with a good dose of humor. A presentation is required, and a small experiment is also allowed. The audience will decide which presentation is the most compelling. The winner will receive a medal and the title “Honorary Doctor of Science Slam Görlitz.”
Admission is free. Anyone who is curious about science and would like to experience research in a different way is warmly welcome.
Would you like to bring science to the stage? Then join the Görlitz Science Slam! We’re looking for scientists who would like to present their scientific topics or research projects to a broad audience in a short, entertaining talk.
Whether it’s a vivid presentation, a surprising shift in perspective, or a small experiment—design your presentation exactly as you envision it. You’ll have ten minutes per presentation. Presentations in English are also welcome.
The registration deadline is November 16, 2026. Register now.
Lisa Bail will answer any questions about participation or preparing your presentation at lisa.bail(at)hi-lusatia.de.
