The publisher Wagner&Farkas presents The Textbook !
Why a new textbook now?
Wagner & Farkas has designed the world’s first fully digital textbook that fully harnesses the potential of digital technology. Everything teachers and students need is included here: from worksheets to digital assignments, from sharing information and materials to individual learning paths covering writing, speaking, and listening, and from exercises to assessments. By design, the textbook doesn’t rely solely on text but uses a cinematic narrative as the foundation for the entire school year. This is complemented by explanatory videos, grammar exercises in a wide variety of formats, and vocabulary trainers for personalized learning paths.
Finally, no more confusing, piecemeal solutions spread across different platforms for a disproportionately high price—instead, tailor-made solutions for every child and every teacher, all from a single source.
What does the publisher offer schools?
The textbook is intended to be tested and optimized in practice as a pilot program. Funding can be secured for this if a sufficient number of schools agree to participate. These schools will receive—if desired—the textbook free of charge for five years, as well as close support and professional development from the publisher.
Participating schools do not need to submit a grant application, nor will their budget be affected. The publisher handles all bureaucratic formalities.
The publisher’s digital presentation will outline the key features of the learning platform using the example of *The Textbook* for 5th-grade English instruction. Following the brief presentation, the textbook’s developers will be happy to answer questions so that you can make an informed decision about whether your school would like to participate in the pilot project.
A few words about the textbook’s development team: Active teachers are involved in shaping the content and the didactic and functional design, and they keep in mind what schoolchildren and teachers truly need in their day-to-day lives. *The Textbook* is designed by teachers for teachers—and is therefore easy to use even for those who are just beginning their digital journey.
This makes The Textbook a model project that will spread from Saxony throughout all of Germany. It would be important and valuable if you would support this project!
