City HTW Dresden

The transfer event for the "Sachsen-Technikum" pilot project at HTW-Dresden brings together experts from education, research, politics and practice to discuss how more young women can be attracted to technical professions and degree courses and retained in STEM fields in the long term. Bernadette Rohlf, research associate at TRAWOS and active in the ESF junior research groups FioKo(Promotion of women through individual and organizational skills in education and work - STEM) and GAP(Gender shares in ESF projects university and research), will moderate a topic table on the promotion of women in STEM fields at the event. How can young women be attracted to STEM? What structures support their path into technology and science? With her scientific expertise, Bernadette Rohlf will contribute current findings from gender equality research to the discussion and promote an open exchange between research, education and practice. The event provides insights into successful formats for promoting women in STEM fields and creates a lively space for exchange, networking and new ideas.
