On July 11, 2026, the Zittau market square will be transformed into an open, lively field of research: Under the title "OHA! - Adventure Science" the interactive science festival invites you to experience current research from Lausitz up close.
The event is integrated into the Zittau City Festival and is jointly organized by the city of Zittau, the Saxon Agency for Structural Development (SAS) and Hi!Lusatia e.V.
OHA! Adventure Science shows how versatile and future-oriented the region already is today. Science is not only explained here, but made tangible: at numerous hands-on stations, through experiments and in direct exchange with researchers.
Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is also part of this special format and participates with its own interactive offerings. Visitors can become active themselves, ask questions and experience how research at the university is translated into very concrete applications for everyday life, the environment and the future. The aim is to make structural change in Lausitz visible and to make prospects for the next generation tangible.
