Artificial countdown pressure, hidden costs, artificial scarcity, or manipulative language designed to trigger a guilty conscience: So-called “dark patterns” are widespread in digital marketing. They generate clicks and purchases in the short term, but often leave customers with an uneasy feeling—and in the long run, they destroy your company’s most valuable good: trust.
The constant pressure to maintain a constant presence on social media also often drains your energy more than it helps. Dependence on algorithms and fleeting trends easily leads to feeling overwhelmed and rarely creates the space for deep, lasting customer relationships.
But marketing doesn’t have to feel like manipulation or an exhausting hamster wheel. There’s another way: with integrity, transparency, and genuine respect for your target audience.
In this workshop, we’ll help you sharpen your awareness of the fine line between persuasive communication and unfair influence. We’ll show you how good, ethical marketing works in practice, why you don’t necessarily have to rely on social media for success, and how to communicate your offerings in a way that connects with people on an equal footing—without any sales pressure.
