Makerspace: FreeCAD - an introduction

What

This is your first introduction to the FreeCAD software. You can use it to create spare parts from the 3D printer, for example.

  • you create a sample body
  • you modify an existing 3D model (.stl)
  • You learn solution approaches for designing

Bring your notebook with the software installed and we recommend a mouse for operation.

Information about the Makerspace

The first events are taking place at the university’s makerspace. We are looking for students, high school students, and university staff who would like to get involved in organizing activities and providing support at the makerspace.

  • Making Easter decorations according to regional traditions

We’re looking for people to present their own topics to high school and college students! In particular, for example:

  • Python
  • GeoGebra
  • LaTeX
  • Your topic from biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, electrical engineering, natural sciences, chemistry, art, or …
