Makerspace: scientific writing, LaTeX and TYPST

What

Dive into the world of scientific writing! There will be three short introductions:

What are the requirements? We’ll demonstrate this using the example of a lab report, the proof of completion for a practicum. Best practices and what to avoid. This is something each and every one of us must do!
How does LaTeX work? Some of you have heard of it—here we’ll show you what it can look like.
Then there’s TYPST. Come see what you can do with it.

Each 15-minute session will feature a short, concise introduction. Afterward, there will be 5 minutes set aside for questions, followed by a general discussion at the end. Bring your laptop if you’d like to try it out for yourself!

If there’s interest, we’ll schedule a follow-up session on one of the three topics!

Information about the Makerspace

The first events are taking place at the university’s makerspace. We are looking for students, high school students, and university staff members who would like to get involved in organizing activities and providing support for the makerspace.
