On May 10, 2025, the GAT will present itself as part of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences with a stand where assistance technologies from the AAL laboratory and an age simulation suit can be tried out.

At the INSIDERTREFF on May 10, 2025, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences will be presenting itself to school students - including the GAT Institute with technologies from the AAL laboratory of the Saxony5 transfer network. At the stand, young people can test assistance technologies for senior citizens and learn about everyday challenges in old age.
The AAL Lab will be working in cooperation with the HSZG's Bachelor's degree program in Applied Nursing Science. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the AAL Lab via a virtual tour and test current assistance technologies for senior citizens and talk about them. Visitors will also have the opportunity to try out the GERT age simulation suit. The GERonTological simulator makes it possible for younger people to experience the typical limitations of older people.
With this stand, the GAT wants to make ageing tangible and inspire people to study and work in the care sector.
