A "state after" is currently being observed in Lusatia - a moment in which many traditional innovation instruments have already been applied, but have barely been able to develop their impact. The TRAWOS research project Innova.GEIST, which is part of the Life and Technology project network , is investigating how social innovation and entrepreneurial activity can be anchored more firmly in the region. Approaches from social science regional research are being used.
The "Innovakeln" workshop format was developed to discuss these questions openly and creatively. The name deliberately alludes to oracles and spectacles - the focus is on the collaborative, enjoyable telling of an alternative, perhaps spectacular innovation story of the region. A story that can also mean reclaiming something that has been lost. The aim of this format is to identify new paths for successful structural change, to productively incorporate existing experience and experimental knowledge from the region and to develop practical approaches that go beyond traditional innovation logics. The first workshop with innovation stakeholders from business, politics and science took place in February. The first follow-up workshop will take place on May 9. The first results of the "Kartenset" project will be presented at the workshop. In addition, key findings from the kick-off workshop will be taken up and discussed further with the participants. The focus will be on the question of what new development paths for the region could look like in concrete terms and how they could be shaped together.
