Speaker: Sebastian Reichmann, M.Sc.
Sebastian Reichmann earned his B.Sc. in Media Informatics in 2021 and his M.Sc. in Digital Media with a focus on Data Science and Security in 2023 from the Bauhaus-University Weimar. In his thesis, he focused on designing a post-quantum-secure AEAD (Authenticated Encryption Associated Data) scheme using TBCs (Tweakable Block Ciphers). Immediately afterward, he began his doctoral studies, focusing on post-quantum cryptography in the field of authenticated encryption. Since obtaining his master’s degree, he has been working full-time as a security architect.
Content:
Recent years have been characterized by major advances in the field and development of quantum technologies. The lecture will focus on the effects of quantum algorithms on the cryptographic methods used as well as on the possibilities for security through new methods.
