Opening ceremony and award ceremony for the EN DÉTAIL // F-W photo competition

Under the title EN DÉTAIL, the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management has been presenting an impressive photo exhibition on the theme of close-up photography since October 20, 2025. From an overwhelming total of over 70 submissions, the jury selected 42 photos for the exhibition. Four winners will be chosen from among the exhibited works, and a Young Talent Award will be presented.
The official opening and awards ceremony will take place on November 26, 2025, at 2:15 p.m., in Building ZII of the university (Schliebenstraße 21, Zittau).
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Fichna will open the event and present the awards to the winners together with the sponsor of the prize money.
During a small reception, attendees will have the opportunity to talk with the participating photographers and organizers and discuss the works.
Every building, every machine, every plant, every object—just like every human body—is, in its entirety, only as good as the sum of its parts. Guided by this motto, numerous participants submitted their work, which impressed us with its high design quality and creative ideas.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Fichna will open the event and present awards to the winners. Afterward, there will be an opportunity to mingle and discuss the works during a small reception.
The exhibition is located in the foyer on the 1st floor of Building ZII
The exhibition can be viewed in Building Z II at the university through February 3, 2026, daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Afterward, the works will be on display at the Christian-Weise Library in Zittau from February 9, 2026, through March 27, 2026.
