Grand Opening of the DLR_School_Lab at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences

Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) cordially invite you to the grand opening of the new DLR_School_Lab at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.

Following the opening ceremony (2:00–3:00 p.m.) in Lecture Hall 1 on the Zittau campus (ZIV), a special highlight will take place at 3:00 p.m.:
ESA astronaut Dr. Gerhard Thiele will talk about his unique space mission and his experiences in space. Dr. Thiele took part in the Space Shuttle mission “STS-99” and spent more than 11 days in space. His presentation offers fascinating insights into his work and experiences during this mission.

Following that, starting around 4:00 p.m., we invite you to tour the new DLR_School_Lab at the Mandauhöfe (Äußere Oybiner Str. 14/16, 02763 Zittau). There, you can explore the new student lab and try out some exciting experiments.

Following the tour, we will wrap up the day together on campus (Theodor-Körner-Allee 8, 02763 Zittau).
