After the opening ceremony (14:00-15:00) in Lecture Hall 1 of the campus (ZIV) in Zittau, a special highlight will follow at 15:00:
ESA astronaut Dr. Gerhard Thiele will talk about his unique space mission and his experiences in space. Dr. Thiele took part in the space shuttle mission "STS-99" and spent more than 12 days in space. His lecture offers fascinating insights into his work and experiences during this mission.
Afterwards, from around 16:00, we invite you to visit the new DLR_School_Lab in the Mandauhöfe (Äußere Oybiner Str. 14/16, 02763 Zittau). There you can get to know the new school laboratory and discover the first exciting experiments.
The tour will be followed by a get-together on the campus (Theodor-Körner-Allee 8, 02763 Zittau).
End of the event: approx. 19:00 hrs
