The Institute for Health, Ageing, Technology (GAT) at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences invites you to join us: We’ll be showcasing two of our research sites and bringing research right into the city.
AAL Lab Görlitz – How can technology help older adults live independently at home for longer? At the AAL (Ambient Assisted Living) Lab, we test and evaluate assistive technologies in a neutral and practical manner—from fall sensors and smart reminder systems to communication aids. Come by and try them out for yourself!
AlterPerimentale Practical Research Center Görlitz – An open meeting and workspace where older adults, family members, and professionals shape the future together. Your experience matters here: Through on-site discussions, you provide insights into which services and technologies are truly needed.
Shaping Research Together – At GAT, we focus on co-creative research: Caregivers, family caregivers, and care recipients work together with us to develop solutions that truly work in everyday life. Because good research only emerges when the people it’s meant to help are involved from the very beginning.
We’d like to know what matters to you—and we invite you to play an active role in shaping services for older adults in the region.
The event will take place at the exhibition “Research Opens New Horizons” in Görlitz’s Old Town.
The exhibition is a joint project of the members of Hi!Lusatia e.V. in cooperation with the Saxon Agency for Structural Development and Görlitzer KulturService GmbH. The project is supported by Sparkasse Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien.
