The GAT presents itself at the Open University Day

On Open University Day on March 22, 2025, the Research Institute for Health, Ageing and Technology (GAT) at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences will present its latest developments. Visitors will have the opportunity to find out about current projects and experience innovative technologies up close.

Begin 22. March 2025 - 10:00 Uhr
A person with a walking frame and a suit that simulates the physical sensation of old age.

One highlight of the GAT presentation is the presentation of assistance systems from the AAL laboratory (Ambient Assisted Living). These systems aim to enable older people to live independently within their own four walls. Interested parties can find out how these technologies work and how they are used in practice on site.

Another special hands-on experience at the GAT Institute stand is the GERT age simulation suit. This makes it possible to experience the physical limitations of old age first-hand. The aim of this experience is to create a better understanding of the challenges of ageing and to promote sensitivity in dealing with older people.

The GAT cordially invites all interested parties to come along to the Open University Day, try out the technologies on display, talk to the researchers and find out more about the degree programs at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. The event offers an excellent opportunity to find out about current developments in the field of health and technology and to gain an insight into the work of the institute and into studying at the HSZG.

You will find us on 22.03.2025 from 10-15:00 in the canteen of the university, Furtstraße 1a, 02826 Görlitz.
