Nanotechnology – Tiny Things with a Big Impact
- How big is “nano”? Nanotechnology—a technology that falls between micro- and molecular structures.
- The presentation will cover the two main approaches in nanotechnology: the bottom-up approach for nanomaterials—nanotubes and the like—and the top-down approach—nanostructuring—using nanoelectronics as an example.
- Another focus of the event is on typical synthesis methods, such as atomic layer deposition (ALD).
Our speaker, Prof. Dr. Gerd Fischer, is a faculty member and researcher at the HSZG in the Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences, specializing in inorganic chemistry and inorganic analytics.
