On the home straight!

From April 7 to 9, the ATRAKTIV research network team met at the Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development(IOER) in Dresden for an intensive and productive exchange. Three days of discussions, planning and setting the course for the next steps in the project are now behind the members. The focus was on transformative change in regions remote from agglomerations. With analyses of actors, governance, regimes and insights into the implementation of transformation arenas in the Kyffhäuser Kreis and Görlitzer Kreis, exciting results were presented that will bring the ATRAKTIV project closer to completion in October 2025! An intensive exchange for sustainable change - and the next steps!

Some highlights from the work:

• Joint analysis steps - From regional context profiles and typifications of actor-time-space patterns to a cross-case comparison study and a governance analysis of regional actors on cooperation and collaboration in the region: the ATRAKTIV team is on track in all work packages and is condensing the material.
• Anthology - The findings from the analyses will be published in an anthology and this is taking shape! We are now entering the writing phase.
• Policy briefs - As project output, policy briefs are created from the results, which are then made available to decision-makers from the regions under investigation.
• Transformation arenas - reviews and outlooks: Exciting approaches from the Kyffhäuser district, Saale-Holzland district and Görlitz district were comparatively analyzed and discussed in the transformation arenas. What must transformative research achieve in the regions?

The remaining six months of the research project remain exciting!
