34th nature conservation helper conference - for the first time at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, the district of Görlitz, in cooperation with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, invites you to the 34th Nature Conservation Conference. Under the motto "Promoting young talent in nature conservation volunteering", the event offers a valuable opportunity for further training and an exchange of experiences for nature conservation volunteers in the district of Görlitz.

• 10:00 a.m. - Welcome by representatives of the district of Görlitz and the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences
• 10:10 a.m. - Information for nature conservation volunteers
• 11:00 a.m. - Coffee break
• 11:15 a.m. - Presentation "Young Nature Guards Saxony" for the recruitment of young people (Elfi Kühnel, NSZ "Zittauer Gebirge")
• 11:45 a.m. - Presentation "Wild bees in the sandarium" (Kevin Josewski, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences)
• 12:05 p.m. - Presentation of the environmental sciences course and opportunities for cooperation (Anke Zenker-Hoffmann, Prof. Oliver Wiche, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences)
• 12:20 p.m. - Lunch
• 13:00 - Environmental education and education for sustainable development (Georg Salditt, IBZ St. Marienthal)
• 13:20 - Presentation and preparation of the excursion to the Eichgraben wetland (Mike Krüger, Andreas Jedzig)
• 13:45 - Conclusion with coffee and cake
• 14:30 - Excursion to the Eichgraben wetland

Travel information:

• Public transport: From Görlitz with RB65 direction Zittau, from Löbau with RE1 to Görlitz and change to RB65 direction Zittau. From the train station to the university about 17 minutes on foot or possibly by bus.
• Carpooling: Participants with a long journey are requested to form car pools. Information is available on request.
