Admission requirements
You have a state-recognized degree:
- A vocational secondary school (BHS) in Austria or a commercial academy or
- a secondary school for business or tourism professions in Austria
- as a business economist in Germany
The degree can be credited with up to 60 ECTS points.

Target group
The part-time Bachelor's degree course in Tourism Management is aimed at professionals who have successfully completed training in the fields of tourism, business or commerce and generally want to qualify for management roles.
You should be interested in taking a holistic view of tourism processes and have an understanding of employees as well as a high level of stamina. In addition, you should be prepared to actively incorporate the course content into your everyday working life or your practical experience in the classroom. -
Course content
Lectures on the Business Management degree course are usually held on site in Vienna, but are also streamed online and recorded.
In our Tourism Management degree course, we focus on the following areas in a targeted and future-oriented manner:- International Affairs

- Digitalization of the tourism industry
The course content ranges from tourism economics and information and communication technologies in tourism to basic management methods. All lectures show interfaces to other areas and create synergies. You can expect the following modules, among others:

Study objective
The degree course is offered with the aim of training specialists for employment in tourism. It is characterized by an interdisciplinary form of acquiring skills and teaching material.
This gives students the opportunity to
- qualify at an academic level while working,
- acquire generalist knowledge for the management of tourism businesses and
- develop their methodological, communicative and personal skills in addition to business management expertise

Tuition fees
The following options are available for paying the tuition fees (with a maximum recognition of 60 ECTS):
- 30 monthly installments of 278 euros each
- 18 monthly installments of 460 euros each
- 3 installments of 2,670 euros each
- One-off payment of 7,999 euros
In addition, there is a one-off registration fee of 499 euros and an examination fee of 500 euros for the Bachelor's defense.
The costs include Registration fee, access to the online learning platform, digital scripts, examination fee and assessment of the Bachelor thesis. No further expenses are incurred during the course of the degree program.

Career prospects
Career prospects after graduation:
You will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Tourism (180 ECTS points). Thanks to your comprehensive education, you will be ideally prepared for any branch of tourism after completing your degree. You can get started in the following areas, among others:

- Management positions in the hospitality industry
- Tour operator
- Management positions in the hotel industry

Successful reporting procedure
The study programs were subjected to a notification procedure by AQ Austria in accordance with § 4 para. 2 of § 27-MeldeVO 2019. The positive notification decision for all study programs can be downloaded here or read on the homepage of AQ Austria.
If the decision on the notification is revoked by the Board of AQ Austria, the study programs may no longer be offered in Austria. The notification of the study programs is valid until 24.11.2027.The decision on the notification of the study programs does not imply a determination of equivalence with Austrian studies and corresponding Austrian academic degrees. The studies and academic degrees are deemed to be those of the country of origin or domicile (Germany).
The equivalence in higher education between Germany and Austria was already established in 2003 by a bilateral agreement.The international reputation of our degrees can also be seen in the fact that our graduates are accepted with open hands at many renowned universities abroad. Even in elite Oxford, we have an IBS graduate who is completing a PHD program at Oxford Brookes University and is already working there as a lecturer.
