How can university teaching empower students to take responsibility and actively contribute to a sustainable future? The Teaching Day 2026 invites students to discuss education for sustainable development and future skills.

| End | 06. May 2026 - 17:00 Uhr |
Teaching Day 2026 focuses on the question of how university teaching can enable students to actively participate in shaping a sustainable future. Against the backdrop of far-reaching social transformation processes - climate change, digitalization, demographic change and the use of artificial intelligence - the university sees itself not only as a place for imparting knowledge, but also as a creative space for responsibility, reflection and the ability to act.
The event takes up central approaches of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and focuses on future skills such as interaction, cooperation, critical thinking and willingness to change. Ecological, economic and social dimensions of sustainability are given equal consideration and linked to regional issues. The aim is to bring together different perspectives from the university, practice and student body, stimulate discourse and provide impetus for the further development of teaching in line with HEP 2030+.
