Workshop: Urban Gardening

The Amaliengarten interest group in Zittau meets for an open planning and creative workshop.

It was just two months ago when the Environment Day was held at the university with the theme "Urban Gardening: Your city. Your garden." took place in Zittau. At the well-attended event, the next steps for the Amaliengarten project were discussed in the subsequent panel discussion. This was also the basis for the taking of soil samples from the site of the future Amaliengarten by students from the International University Institute Zittau. Students, this time from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, also developed concepts for future uses as part of the "Ecological Forestry and Agriculture" course. The results of this work will be presented on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 6 p.m. in Cafe Jolesch, Klienebergerplatz 1 in Zittau. The next steps for the implementation of the Amaliengarten project will be planned in an open and friendly atmosphere as part of a workshop. Sebastian Kaiser from UFER-Projekte Dresden will provide professional support. Mr. Kaiser has successfully supervised numerous planning and creative workshops in Dresden and can not only lead this workshop as a moderator, but also contribute his expertise. All interested parties are cordially invited.
