Project Manager (m/f/d) Large Format 3D Printing - Keyword: 42-2024 RUBIN-PM-3D -

The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, is seeking to fill a position (40 hours per week) as soon as possible as part of the RUBIN EnviroPlast project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF):

Project Manager (m/f/d) for Large-Format 3D Printing

- Reference: 42-2024 RUBIN-PM-3D -

fixed-term position through May 31, 2027.

 

The position holder will have the following responsibilities in particular:

  • Making a scientific contribution to a clean, decarbonized future based on sustainable engineering plastic parts,
  • Further development of large-format 3D printing for the additive manufacturing of components and molds made from bio-based compounds,
  • Independent management and coordination of the project,
  • Planning, design, and additive manufacturing of large-format demonstrator components made from waste-based compounds in coordination with industry partners,
  • Close collaboration with partners from industry and academia,
  • Attendance at international industry events (trade shows, conferences, etc.) for scientific exchange and to publish research findings.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • a completed scientific university degree in Mechanical Engineering, process engineering, materials science, or a comparable field,
  • Practical experience in the additive manufacturing of plastic components,
  • practical experience in project management and the acquisition of research projects,
  • fluent written and spoken English.

In addition, the following are desirable:

  • experience in preparing scientific publications.

Further information

Salary will be in Pay Grade 13 of the TV-L collective bargaining agreement, provided the candidate meets the personal qualifications. The primary place of employment is Zittau.
