Can I learn how to operate the virtual injection molding machine in my VR environment as well as I would on a real machine?
These and similar questions will be researched, further developed, and tested with students in collaboration with partners from industry, research, and education. The position specifically involves the following responsibilities:

• Designing and conducting creative technology workshops in the fields of plastics processing, lightweight construction, and additive manufacturing,
• Assisting with the graphical and pedagogical optimization of existing lecture materials in the field of plastics processing using interactive tools, e.g., virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR),
• Presenting the VR software DigiKunst, which you helped develop, to interested businesses and residents of Upper Lusatia
  ; 3D design of demonstrative plastic components for large-format printing;
• Attendance at subject-related events (trade shows, conferences, etc.) to transfer the results to industry and academia,
• Ongoing coordination and close collaboration with the cooperation partners.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• A college or university degree in a technical department (Mechanical Engineering, plastics engineering, lightweight construction, product design),
• extensive experience working with new technologies (3D printing, 3D scanning) and new media (virtual/augmented reality),
• Interest and expertise in planning and organizing events, particularly seminars and creative technology workshops,
• practical skills in engineering and graphic design software,
• good written and spoken English skills.

In addition, the following are desirable:

• Experience in higher education or other public institutions,
• project experience in the field of research.
