Film art in conversation: a "Terence Malick evening" at the Palast Theater Görlitz

The Palast Theater in Görlitz aims to be more than just a movie theater and, in cooperation with the Saxon Film Academy in Görlitz and X-Filme, is looking forward to a very special arthouse film evening on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 7:00 p.m., at the Palast Theater, in the historic Hall 1.

Producer Marcus Loges will introduce Terence Malick’s remarkable and visually stunning drama *A Hidden Life* that evening and will be available for a discussion afterward. The film was partially shot in Upper Lusatia and also features an outstanding cast.

Marcus Loges has been working since the mid-1990s as a freelance production coordinator, production manager, and later as a line producer and producer for various German and international TV and feature film productions. Since January 2020, he has been one of the managing directors of X Filme Holding GmbH, with a special focus on productions.

The Saxon Film Academy launched its first course in Görlitz on March 21, 2022. Funded by the Free State of Saxony and supported by Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences as the responsible educational institution, the Saxon Film Academy was established with strong backing and enthusiasm from both the political sphere and the film industry. Its mission and goal are to train mid-level professionals in film production, for whom there is a great need not only in the region but throughout Germany. Bernd Hölsken will represent the Saxon Film Academy at the event. He has already been involved in film productions across a wide range of areas.

The Palast Theater is pleased to highly recommend this special event—thanks in part to the support of its partners—at a special ticket price of 9.00 euros for all seats.

Don’t miss it! Advance tickets are available on the Palast Theater Görlitz website.
