You can now register for the graduation ceremony on 18.04.2020.
On April 18, our university's central graduation ceremony will take place for the tenth time. Central means that the invited Bachelor's, Diplom and Master's graduates from all degree programs and both locations are bid farewell together. In a festive setting and usually in the presence of their proud families, the graduates are given a small gift by the HSZG to send them off into their new phase of life.
The ceremony is accompanied by a musical program, which will also highlight the festive occasion this year. As part of the central exmatriculation ceremony, the HSZG Sponsors' Association will award prizes to the best graduates of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
The second highlight of the day is the joint naming of the alumni tree in the student park. This was planted in 2009 on the corner of Kantstraße and Hochwaldstraße on the initiative of the Student Council. At that time, the first 15 trees were planted together with the Mayor of Zittau, the rectors and the student council. Since then, 28 new trees have been added. This means that the 44th tree will green the student park on April 18.
The day will be rounded off with the university ball, which will take place in the evening and will see partying and dancing well into the night. With the party band Jolly Jumper. The university ball takes place in the Zittauer Volkshaus at Äußere Weberstraße 6.
