Change Manager (m/f/d)

to be filled for a limited period of 2 years.

The position is responsible for the professional management, support and further development of change processes within the university. It supports the university management, faculties and central institutions in the implementation of strategic projects - especially in the context of university development, faculty mergers and administrative modernization. The aim is to promote a learning and adaptable organization that shapes change as a continuous process.

The post holder will be responsible for the following tasks in particular:

Strategic tasks:

  • Conception, planning and management of organizational development and change projects
  • Advising the Rectorate and the steering committee on organizational development issues, process design and change support
  • Support in the further development of leadership, communication and participation cultures

Operational tasks:

  • Analysis of existing structures and processes (organizational diagnoses, process analyses)
  • Planning and moderation of workshops, invigilated (written) examinations and participation formats
  • Development and implementation of communication and participation concepts for change processes
  • Design and support of team development measures, conflict moderation, coaching formats
  • Establishing and maintaining a network of change agents / multipliers
  • Evaluation of change processes (e.g. feedback, acceptance, effectiveness)

Development tasks:

  • Establishing a process for the operationalization of changes
  • Development of methods, standards and tools for continuous organizational development
  • Promotion of an innovation-friendly, participatory university culture
  • Supporting personnel development for management qualifications in the above-mentioned area

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed academic university degree (e.g. in psychology, education, organizational sociology, economics or administrative sciences),
  • several years of professional experience in organizational development, change management or personnel/leadership development, ideally in the public or scientific sector,
  • Knowledge of modern organizational development and change methods (e.g. systemic OE, Appreciative Inquiry, ADKAR, Kotter, Design Thinking),
  • Experience in moderation, process support, conflict management, workshop design,
  • Experience in multi-project management, change controlling and agile management.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • a working knowledge of English.
