CELSIUZ

Behind the name CELSIUZ lie good-equipped facilities that provide space for creative work, networking, and developing innovative project ideas. Engineers, computer scientists, and researchers in the natural and social sciences combine their expertise and apply their research to knowledge transfer. Together with representatives from business and society, they seek new solutions to the challenges of our time.

At the heart of the Co-Creation Lab is a large simulation and training control center where a wide variety of scenarios can be modeled and tested right on site. Information sessions, scientific workshops, and discussion panels are designed and conducted here.

Area of application: CELSIUZ Laboratory - Decision Theater

In order to implement reliable and cost-effective solutions for a climate-neutral energy supply as quickly as possible, cooperation between utility companies, society, and universities must be strengthened. In the “Energy” transfer field, CELSIUZ collaborates with industry representatives and citizens to share tools for designing technical systems, innovative technologies for energy conversion, transmission, and storage, as well as methods for operational optimization. To this end, the university’s projects and expertise from the “Energy and Environment” research focus are presented in a manner tailored to specific target groups. Concrete challenges arising from the transition of the energy supply to renewable sources are discussed using modern software for process simulation and analysis, and solutions are developed based on these discussions.
