Purposes of data processing

The HSZG uses the survey service "Survey" of the Bildungsportal Sachsen to create, conduct and evaluate online surveys. The data entered by survey participants in the course of a survey in "Survey" may be personal or anonymous, depending on the purposes pursued by the survey author. The purpose of a survey and the associated data processing is determined by the respective survey title. An example of such a survey title could be

"Survey on the use and usage behavior of teaching recordings for the purpose of improving the service offering"

In addition to the survey author, the service provider of "Survey" also collects and processes personal data for the purposes of providing its service, delivering websites, identifying and resolving technical problems and optimizing its service.

Legal basis

The personal data collected by the survey author will be processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and, in the case of special categories of personal data, in accordance with Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR.

Categories of personal data

The categories of personal data collected and processed by the survey author are identical to the data that the survey participant enters in "Survey" during the course of the survey and transmits to the survey author.

The service provider of "Survey" processes the following categories of personal data for the purposes it pursues.

  • Name of the retrieved file or website
  • Date and time of the retrieval
  • Notification of whether the retrieval was successful
  • IP address of the device accessing the website
  • Type of web browser and operating system used
  • Browser cookies

Without prejudice to the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), the personal data collected by the survey author will be stored at for an appropriate period of time for the purposes for which it was collected. This classification is the responsibility of the survey author.

Rights of the data subjects

As a person affected by the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights if the legal requirements are met.

  • You have the right to information about the processing of your personal data(Art. 15 GDPR).
  • You have the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you (Art.16 GDPR)
  • You have the right to erasure of your personal data (Art.17 GDPR).
  • You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data (Art.18 GDPR)
  • You have the right to data portability of your personal data (Art.20 GDPR)
  • You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time (Art.21 GDPR)
  • You have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of your consent until revocation remains unaffected(Art. 13 para. 2 lit. c GDPR).
  • You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Saxon data protection officer
    (Art. 77 GDPR).

Provision of personal data

The provision of your personal data is not required by law or contract. Failure to provide your personal data means that it cannot be taken into account when fulfilling the purpose for which it was collected.

Decision-making and profiling

This processing activity does not involve automated decision-making or profiling in accordance with Art. 22 GDPR.
