Purposes of data processing
The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences processes the personal data you provide to it when you contact us for the purposes of processing your request, fulfilling its legal obligations and contacting you regarding your request.
Legal basis
Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences processes your personal data on the basis of your implied consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
If your request falls within the responsibility of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences in the context of fulfilling its statutory duties in accordance with Section 5 (2) SächsHSG, we also process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR in conjunction with Section 3 ( 1) SächsDSDG and Section 3 (1) SächsDSDG. § 3 para. 1 SächsDSDG and § 5 para. 2 SächsHSG.
If you are a member, relative, applicant, examination candidate, non-degree seeking guest student or former member of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and your request justifies a processing requirement in accordance with § 15 para. 1 no. 1 to 11 SächsHSG, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences also processes your personal data on the basis of § 15 para. 1 SächsHSG.
Recipients
The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences does not disclose the personal data received from you on the basis of an implied consent in the context of your initial contact to third parties, does not transfer it to a third country or to an international organization.
Storage duration
If your personal data is no longer required after your request has been processed and there are no legal retention periods associated with your request to the contrary, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences will delete your personal data processed for the aforementioned purposes when you contact us
- via telephone by overwriting it with new caller data within the next few months,
- via fax automatically after 1 month from the fax journal,
- via e-mail and letter manually at the discretion of the contact person
Rights of the data subjects
As a person affected by the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights if the legal requirements are met:
- You have the right to information about the processing of your personal data(Art. 15 GDPR).
- You have the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you (Art.16 GDPR)
- You have the right to erasure of your personal data (Art.17 GDPR).
- You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data (Art.18 GDPR)
- You have the right to data portability of your personal data (Art.20 GDPR)
- You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time (Art.21 GDPR)
- You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Saxon Data Protection Officer

Provision of personal data
If you are a member or affiliate of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and your personal data is processed on the basis of Section 15 (1) SächsHSG for the processing purposes in accordance with Section 15 (1) No. 1 to 11 SächsHSG, you have a legal obligation to provide your personal data in accordance with Section 15 (2) SächsHSG.
Decision-making and profiling
This processing activity does not involve automated decision-making or profiling in accordance with Art. 22 GDPR.
