Purposes of data processing
Personal data is required for a detailed analysis of the teaching and academic environment at HSZG. The results of this analysis serve as the basis for developing measures to
- further develop and improve the quality of degree programs (degree program evaluation),
- further developing and improving the quality of the modules (module evaluation),
- further development and improvement of the organization of studies and the academic environment, as well as the optimization of work processes in the constituent units (degree program evaluation, course evaluation),
- further development and improvement of the teaching performance and competence of faculty members in lectures, seminars/exercises, and laboratory work (course evaluation).
Legal basis
Data processing is carried out on the basis of the HSZG evaluation regulations in conjunction with
§ 15 para. 1 no. 4 SächsHSG, § 15 para. 3 SächsHSG and § 9 para. 6 SächsHSG.
Recipients
In accordance with § 6 and § 8(1) of the Evaluation Regulations, the evaluation results are made available—in a differentiated manner depending on the subject of the evaluation—to the students, the faculty member being evaluated, the module coordinator being evaluated, the relevant academic committee, the Faculty Student Committee of the relevant faculty, the relevant faculty administration, the Rector’s Office, and the Office of University development and communication/Quality Management Division. No data is transferred to third countries or international organizations.
Storage duration
The duration of data storage is governed by Section 8 (6) of the Evaluation Regulations.
Rights of the data subjects
Due to the anonymous nature of the evaluation, it is not possible to identify the individual questionnaire. The aggregated evaluation results can be accessed.

Provision of personal data
Participation in the evaluation of academic programs and teaching is mandatory for members and affiliates of the university pursuant to § 15(2) of the Saxon Higher Education Act (SächsHSG).
Decision-making and profiling
In the processing activity "Evaluation of studies and teaching", no automated decision-making or profiling is carried out in accordance with Art. 22 GDPR.
