Conditions of participation

1. Organizer, Participation

(1) The “Free Tickets for the Picnic Cinema at the Messe & Event Park in Löbau” contest is organized by the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.

(2) The deadline for entries is July 30, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. The winners will be announced in August 2021. The decision is final and not subject to legal recourse.

(3) To participate in the contest, participants must include a link to hszg.de in a private digital image posted on the HSZG’s social media channels: Instagram and Facebook. By tagging hszg.de in the private post, the participant agrees to the terms and conditions and the privacy policy (see Section 6 of the terms and conditions). Furthermore, this constitutes permission for the HSZG to repost the private post on its own social media channels.

2. Eligible Participants and Excluded Persons

(1) Natural persons are eligible to participate.

(2) Employees of the Office of University development and communication, Public Relations Division, at Zittau/Görlitz University are excluded from the contest.

3. Prizes

(1) Two free tickets to the picnic cinema at the Messe- & Veranstaltungspark in Löbau for the 2021 event season will be awarded from among the entries. Cash payment in lieu of the prizes is not permitted.

(2) The winners will be notified by the Office of University development and communication, Public Relations Division, via social media (Instagram and Facebook) and are expected to be published by name on the websites hszg.de, facebook.de/hszg.de, and instagram.com/hszg.de. Participants expressly consent to the publication of their names. Winners will be notified after the drawing.

(3) If the person selected to receive a prize does not pick up the free tickets within five days of receiving the prize notification at the Public Relations Office in Zittau (Building Z I, Office 1.65) or in Görlitz at Building G II, Room 2.52, the claim to the prize shall expire.

4. Rights of Use, Indemnification by the Participant

(1) Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences reserves the right to publish submitted images on the university’s website and on Instagram and Facebook. Participants grant Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences the rights to use the submitted images. There is no entitlement to publication.

(2) Participants warrant that they took the photographs themselves, that they are the sole rights holders of the submitted photos, and that Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences may use them without restriction; they further warrant that the image is free of third-party rights and that no personality rights are infringed upon in the depiction of individuals. With regard to any persons, works, trademarks, or other objects depicted in the images, the participant has obtained the necessary consents for the publication of the depicted persons. Should third parties nevertheless assert claims due to a violation of their rights, the participant shall indemnify the organizer against all such claims.

6. Data Protection

(1) By participating, the participant consents to the collection and processing of data necessary for the conduct of the contest. Until the end of the contest, all participants are free to withdraw from participation by sending a notice of withdrawal to marketing@hszg.de. In this case, the participant’s data, including the submitted image files, will be deleted immediately upon receipt of the notice of withdrawal.

(2) Participants consent to the use and storage of their data solely for the purposes of this contest. Upon the contest’s conclusion, personal data and image files will be deleted.
