At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz (HSZG), Office of University Development and Communication, a full-time position (40 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as

Collaboration in the project coordination structural adjustment website and AI integration (m/f/d)

- Keyword: 63-2025 Website KI -

to be filled for a limited period until 28.02.2028.

The aim of the position is to plan, manage and implement the structural adjustment of the central website hszg.de by 01.05.2027 inclusive:

  • Integration of the previous faculty pages into the central website (reduction of duplicate structures)
  • Content and structural realignment with a focus on prospective students
  • Conception and piloting of AI-based user functions
  • Further development of SEO, GEO and technical optimization with external service providers

The position includes the following tasks in particular:

  • Project coordination: roadmap, milestones, budget control, risk management, reporting
  • Stakeholder management: coordination with faculties/institutions, requirements recording, prioritization, change and communication planning
  • Information architecture & content governance: target group-oriented navigation and page models; content standards, workflows, responsibilities; editorial management for migration
  • AI integration: evaluation and development of options (chat-only, AI support, combined search/chat), also with a view to data protection/IT security and accessibility, monitoring of prototyping, testing and roll-out
  • UX/Accessibility: coordination of user research, prototyping, usability tests
  • SEO/GEO/Analytics: strategy for technology/onpage/content, coordination of external service providers, KPI/dashboarding (e.g. application conversions, search performance)
  • Quality assurance support: test plans, acceptances, editorial training, operational and support concept for going live.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • University degree (e.g. media/communication/economics, computer science/business informatics, information management or similar)
  • demonstrable experience in complex website projects,
  • Experience with common content management systems, especially Typo3,
  • Competence in project management (classic and agile), budget and time planning,
  • Knowledge of information architecture, UX, content strategy and web analytics,
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and GEO.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Experience in the higher education or public sector,
  • Practice with AI applications on the web (chatbots, retrieval, semantic search).

  • Strong communication, moderation and organizational skills,
  • familiarity with data protection (GDPR) and IT security in a web context.
