Scientific writing with LaTeX

Learn the basics of creating and structuring LaTeX documents for academic writing.

LaTeX is a flexible and computer-independent TeX typesetting system for creating documents in book printing quality. This system can be used to create scientific papers such as Diplom theses and dissertations or entire books. A big plus is the creation of mathematical formulas and equations. Unlike the well-known, well-known writing programs, LaTeX does not work according to the what-you-see-is-what-you-get principle. This means that the layout, headings, directories, tables and other features are described using source code and translated into a document by a compiler.
The workshop aims to teach the basics of creating such documents, including the technical requirements for creating LaTeX documents, the structure of TeX documents, creating directories, tables and graphics, math mode, etc. The workshop will be held in German. Please bring a notebook with you!
