At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz, Faculty of Social Sciences, within the framework of the federal and state-funded program "Future of Work: Regional Competence Centers for the Work of the Future in Saxony and Brandenburg in the joint project "Perspective Work Lausitz - PAL", sub-project: Employee- and context-specific data-based decision support and information systems along the value chain, a position (20 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as a

 

Research Assistant - Digitization of Competence Analysis Instruments (m/f/d)

to be filled until 30.10.2026.

As part of the PAL project, the digital transformation in the field of AI in the Saxony and Brandenburg region is to be promoted for regionally based medium-sized companies by providing innovative digital processes in the field of competence analysis, personnel development and the organization of interdisciplinary product developments.

 

The position includes the following tasks in particular:

 

  • Conception, technical development and programming of the software instruments for the competence analysis realized within the project,
  • Design and technical development of the data analysis tools for the participating companies,
  • Analysis and evaluation of technical risks in the development process,
  • Establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with external companies and research institutions,
  • Development, adaptation and transformation of industrial psychology measurement methods in the field of competence analysis, aptitude diagnostics and resilience analysis into digital indirect measurement methods,
  • Realization of effective human-computer interaction in the developed solutions,
  • Promoting cooperation between internal and external project participants,
  • Conducting meetings, workshops and stand-up meetings to track status and find solutions,
  • Creating risk management strategies for the technical development processes,
  • Identifying and proactively managing potential risks during the introduction of digital processes,
  • Independent documentation and reporting in line with project requirements.

 

The following knowledge and skills are required

 

  • academic degree in the field of psychology with a focus on work and organizational psychology;
  • sound knowledge of microcontroller programming,
  • advanced programming skills in C#, Java and R,
  • extensive professional experience in project management of interdisciplinary projects in the field of engineering science with own product developments in the field of networked software or sensor systems - preferably in the context of cooperation between universities and companies,
  • Expertise in statistical analysis methods and data processing,
  • Experience in the application of quantitative and qualitative research methods,
  • familiarity with national and international journals and conferences,
  • analytical thinking and willingness to conduct research,
  • strong communication skills and the ability to present complex solutions.

 

In addition, the following are desirable

 

  • Extensive professional experience in the field of new technical developments in the context of interdisciplinary cooperation projects - preferably between medium-sized companies and research institutions,
  • sound knowledge in the field of software development,
  • experience in project work including presentation and documentation.

  • curiosity and openness to innovative approaches and technologies,
  • practical experience in personnel development and/or management consulting in this field,

Further information

The remuneration for tariff employees is in EG 13 TV-L if the professional requirements are met. The 1st place of work is Görlitz. A probationary period will be agreed.
