At the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, the Center for Knowledge Transfer and Education (ZWB), which is affiliated to the Vice-Rectorate for Education and International Affairs, a full-time position (40 hours/week) is available as part of the joint project "studienerfolg@saxHAW" funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) at the earliest possible date as a

to be filled for a limited period until 31.03.2026 .

The five Saxon universities of applied sciences (HAW) - Leipzig, Dresden, Mittweida, Zittau-Görlitz and Zwickau - are working together to implement the innovative project "studienerfolg@saxHAW". The aim is to increase student success and counteract the expected shortage of skilled workers on the (Saxon) job market. At the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, various study success measures are planned and implemented along the student life cycle and in cooperation with the structural units during the project period.

The HSZG is planning to realign its "Studium fundamentale" educational programme with a focus on the objectives of the EU Green Deal and other cross-sectional tasks of our society, such as diversity and digitalization. The Studium Fundamentale educational program is to be fundamentally revised, be practice-oriented and include excursions to illustrate the objectives of the Green Deal. These include reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting renewable energies, increasing energy efficiency, creating green jobs and supporting sustainable agriculture. With the innovative approach, the HSCG strives to not only inspire but also empower its students to become active shapers of a sustainable and diverse future.

The position includes the following tasks in particular:

  • Participatory development and implementation of the educational program for Studium Fundamentale, in particular taking into account the requirements of the faculties, students and university management,
  • Development of a concept for the reorientation of Studium Fundamentale with a stronger focus on the EU Green Deal and other cross-cutting requirements such as digitalization and diversity,
  • Creating practice-oriented teaching content and designing and implementing excursions to illustrate the Green Deal objectives,
  • Establishing strategic partnerships with companies/organizations to provide students with insights into a sustainable economy,
  • Integrate the principles of diversity and digitalization into the HSCG's educational program by planning teaching content and activities that reflect the diversity of society and promote digital skills among students,
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the educational program, identifying areas for improvement and further developing the curriculum
  • Responsibility for the efficient use of resources and adherence to the budget for the realignment of the educational program as well as financial planning of excursions and, if necessary, teaching materials,
  • Preparation of reports and presentations to document project progress and results

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed scientific university degree,
  • experience in the coordination and implementation of educational projects, ideally in a university context,
  • sound knowledge of the objectives and measures of the European Union's Green Deal and experience in the implementation of educational programs with a focus on sustainability and environmental protection,
  • experience in the development of teaching content and pedagogical concepts, preferably in a higher education context,
  • excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders,
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a dynamically evolving project environment.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Professional experience in higher education or school settings,
  • pedagogical or didactic skills,
  • knowledge and experience in project management,
  • a working knowledge of English.

If the personal and professional requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 13 TV-L. The 1st place of work is Zittau.
