Behind the scenes at the University Library, preparations are currently underway for the changeover to the new web-based update of the library system.

As this new software differs significantly from the one previously used, all employees were trained in mid-May and can now familiarize themselves with the new conditions in a test system. Over the next few weeks, various system adjustments will have to be made, such as connecting the WebOPAC and interlibrary loan system and updating the reports for all letters leaving the library. From the winter semester 2017/2018, the new system should then be able to provide its services unnoticed by users and hopefully make the library staff's work a little easier.
